About this role
The Integration Engineering Technician III role at Mavensoft Technologies involves onsite work in North Hollywood, CA, on a 6-month W2 contract. Technicians handle mechanical and electrical integration of components, subsystems, and test articles, including structural assemblies, mechanisms, fluid systems, harnesses, sensors, and power distribution hardware. This position supports A-shift hours with occasional B-shifts from 2pm to 10pm.
Day-to-day tasks include setting up and operating vacuum systems for chamber assembly, pump-down, venting, leak checks, and troubleshooting. Work with high-voltage and high-amperage systems requires strict adherence to lockout/tagout and safety procedures. Operate furnaces for thermal cycling and bake-out, while executing test setups with instrumentation like pressure, temperature, and strain sensors.
In a collaborative team environment, interpret engineering documentation such as drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and test procedures. Identify and resolve discrepancies with engineers to ensure accuracy. Maintain high standards of safety, quality, housekeeping, FOD, ESD, cleanliness, and PPE compliance.
Support early development and prototype hardware by building, modifying, and reworking experimental assemblies. Provide hands-on feedback to engineers on design for manufacturability, integration, and test. Mentor junior technicians and contribute to continuous improvement of build and test processes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 6+ years of relevant hands-on technician experience or Associate’s degree in a technical field plus 4+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in vacuum systems including pumps, gauges, valves, basic leak-checking
- Demonstrated experience in high-voltage and/or high-amperage systems in an industrial, test, or R&D environment
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical assembly and integration using standard hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly prints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, written work instructions, and test procedures
- Proficient with common shop and test equipment such as torque tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, data acquisition interfaces, pressure gauges
- Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to work independently, lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, at heights, around noisy or hazardous environments
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical integration of components, subsystems, and test articles including structural assemblies, mechanisms, fluid systems, harnesses, sensors, and power distribution hardware
- Set up, operate, and maintain vacuum systems including chamber assembly, pump-down, venting, leak checks, RGA use, and basic troubleshooting
- Work with high-voltage and high-amperage systems including power supplies, distribution units, interlocks, bus bars, contactors, and adhere to lockout/tagout procedures
- Set up and operate furnaces and thermal processing equipment for thermal cycling, bake-out, monitoring temperature profiles, and documenting parameters
- Support early development and prototype hardware by building, modifying, reworking assemblies and providing feedback on design for manufacturability, integration, and test
- Execute test setups and operations including installing instrumentation, routing cabling and plumbing, supporting test execution, monitoring, and post-test tear-down
- Interpret engineering documentation such as drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, work instructions, test procedures and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain safety, quality, housekeeping standards, complete build records, nonconformance reports, test logs and mentor junior technicians
