As Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer - Electrical Test, lead a team of technicians through satellite integration operations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Spend the majority of the day on the shop floor leading the team through satellite to dispenser mating operations. Work closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to set up and maintain satellite integration equipment. Address root causes of failures, implement production control and optimization strategies, and reduce non-conformances.

Work closely with launch operations and satellite manufacturing teams while interfacing with facilities personnel to set up payload processing facilities. Implement test requirements, design satellite integration work cells, author procedures, and support continuous improvement. Operate primarily first shift Monday-Friday with possible off-shift, weekends, and up to 25% travel as needed.

Implement engineering best practices in a safe, repeatable manner with high standards of execution. Solve difficult problems where resolutions have high impact and help create new launch site processes and standards. Requirements

  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted as refugee or granted asylum due to export control laws
  • Experience in space hardware integration and test
  • Focus on handling flight hardware
  • Experience using EGSE for flight hardware testing
  • Highly motivated and detail oriented
  • Ability to maintain highest standards of execution
  • Willing to perform extended travel up to 25% annually, domestically or internationally

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of technicians through satellite integration operations
  • Continuously improve satellite integration and test processes
  • Integrate satellites onto dispensers
  • Perform automated testing of satellites using various EGSE
  • Interface with facilities personnel to set up payload processing facility
  • Evaluate and improve takt time
  • Author and implement work instructions and standard processes
  • Resolve anomalies and implement corrective actions
  • Coordinate and implement Over-The-Air (OTA) updates to flight hardware
