About this role
The Aerospace Electronics Assembly Technician assembles, inspects, and tests high-reliability electronic and electro-mechanical hardware for advanced space and defense systems. Working from engineering documentation and technical standards, this role performs precision assembly tasks including cable and harness fabrication and soldering. Trident Systems Space Electronic Systems division combines expertise in space electronics with rigorous engineering principles to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
Daily work involves assembling electro-mechanical products according to engineering instructions and technical manuals while following written processes in a standard and repeatable manner. The technician performs wiring harness and cable assembly with continuity checks and applies standards such as J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620. Attention to detail ensures all manufactured hardware complies with quality and workmanship requirements.
The position operates within a collaborative manufacturing environment supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, and Civil space customers. Trident develops complex, radiation effects mitigated designs that balance competing requirements in modern space programs. Team members leverage the full knowledge of the organization through design and peer reviews.

Requirements
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience or 2 yrs post-Secondary/Associates Degree with min 2 yrs prior related experience
- Experience with electronics or cable assemblies
- Experience with circuit board level soldering and desoldering
- Experience with masking, conformal coating, connector potting, component staking, or component bonding
- Basic ability in the utilization of computer software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Responsibilities
- Assemble electro-mechanical product in accordance with engineering instructions, technical manuals, and training.
- Follow written instructions to execute tasking in a standard and repeatable manner.
- Perform wiring harness and cable assembly, including continuity checks on the final assemblies.
- Apply technical standards such as J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 ensuring manufactured hardware complies.
- Use small hand tools, calibrated equipment, soldering/desoldering equipment, and meters as required.
- Consistently complete records of work completed in line with good documentation practices.
- Follow documented processes and procedures for proper handling of all materials.
