Assemble payload systems including avionics harnessing, click bond applications, and separation systems according to written procedures, engineering drawings, and models. Apply various types of RTV and epoxy bonding. Set up new production work areas with tooling and equipment.

Operate material handling equipment like forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, and precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser trackers, and height gauges. Work closely with a team in clean room operations and from heights. Maintain a clean as you go model critical for all operations.

Assist with transition from development to production, including first articles. Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions through modification, rework, repair, and maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or another relevant field
  • Experience in instrumentation and electrical harness routing, general aerospace/launch vehicle assembly
  • Interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions and test procedures
  • Work collaboratively with teams of diverse skills, disciplines, and backgrounds
  • Communicate clearly and appropriately, in writing and in person
  • Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Climb ladders/stairs, work in small restricted areas, perform repetitive work, lift items up to 50lbs; U.S. citizen or national, permanent resident, refugee or asylee

  • Operate precision calibrated tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser tracker, height gauges and optical measuring instruments
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency
  • Assist with transition from development to production, including first articles
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance
