Assemble payload systems including avionics harnessing, click bond applications, and separation systems using procedures, drawings, and models. Apply RTV and epoxy bonding, set up production work areas with tooling, and operate precision tools like torque wrenches and laser trackers. Troubleshoot malfunctions and maintain a clean-as-you-go model.

Join a diverse team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers relentlessly committed to safety. Work closely in clean room operations, from heights, and with teams of varied skills and backgrounds. Communicate clearly in writing and person while contributing to inclusion.

Assist transitioning from development to production, including first articles. Identify continuous improvement for safety and efficiency. Demonstrate passion for the mission of lowering space access costs and enabling human spaceflight.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or another relevant field
  • Experience in instrumentation and electrical harness routing or general aerospace/launch vehicle assembly
  • Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures
  • Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office
  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work in small, restricted areas
  • Perform repetitive work, including lifting of items up to 50lbs
  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted as refugee or granted asylum

Responsibilities

  • Assemble payload systems including avionics harnessing, click bond applications, and separation systems according to procedures, drawings, and models
  • Apply various types of RTV and epoxy bonding
  • Set up new production work areas including tooling and equipment
  • Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, and flight vehicle transportation equipment
  • Operate precision calibrated tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser trackers, height gauges, and optical instruments
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and maintenance
  • Work 2nd shift hours (Monday through Friday: 2pm-11pm)
