The RF Power Production Engineering team provides engineering resources to support operational performance and major product development projects. This spans from design through engineering build, production support, to end of life. The team handles full product lifecycle support including prototype design and build, process integration, and field support.

Day-to-day involves problem solving on the line with component level fault finding and structured analysis to identify production issues. Work closely with manufacturing and supply teams on technical problems, driving to root cause with sustainable corrective actions. Provide technical input throughout the production process and challenge conventions for improvements.

Support new product development through design analysis for DFM and DFA criteria, managing NPI phase deliverables. Develop manufacturing processes, update work instructions, and control changes from concept to production. Foster safety by supporting risk assessments and promoting a rigorous safety culture.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in an engineering function in support of manufacturing
  • Experience with component level fault finding and structured problem solving on production lines
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process development and analysis
  • Familiarity with DFM and DFA criteria for electronics designs
  • Understanding of component lifecycles, sources and lead-times
  • Experience managing manufacturing change processes and configuration control
  • Ability to develop work instructions, FMEA, control plans and risk assessments

Responsibilities

  • Work with manufacturing and supply teams on technical issues, driving to full root cause with sustainable corrective actions
  • Investigate, document and report faults with customer owned products and implement improvements
  • Provide manufacturing technical input at all points during the production process
  • Challenge conventions to ensure continuous improvements in manufacturing cost and ease of manufacture
  • Assist manufacturing in creating balanced lines flexible to production requirements
  • Review, update, write and clear work instructions (SOPs) for operations
  • Write and review process FMEA and control plans, complete risk assessments
  • Support new product development with DFM and DFA analysis and NPI process management
