About this role

The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles, and airborne platforms. Locations include Melbourne, FL. Senior Manufacturing Engineers perform moderately complex functions in process design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of production operations.

Develop manufacturing process plans, test requirements, manufacturing flow, and capacity plans. Review detail designs for manufacturability and producibility. Prepare complicated plans, conduct support studies, provide analysis or tests in production operations development.

Responsibilities are diverse in scope where analysis of situations or data requires sound judgment. General guidance given on new assignments as needed. Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in an applicable engineering field with 5+ years applicable engineering experience or equivalent
Specialties in manufacturing, production, industrial, welding, tooling, testing, processing, software, and robotics
U.S. Citizenship required
Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time
Experience in process design and fabrication for production operations
Ability to provide guidance to lower level engineers

Responsibilities

Perform moderately complex functions in the process design, fabrication, modification, and/or evaluation of production operations
Prepare complicated plans, conduct support studies, provide analysis or tests in the development of production operations
Assign work to drafters and/or technicians and provide guidance to lower level engineers
Develop manufacturing process plans, test requirements, manufacturing flow, and capacity plans
Review detail designs for manufacturability and producibility
Analyze situations or data requiring sound judgment
Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
