About this role

As a Senior Operational Excellence Engineer in Aerospace Manufacturing, you will manage and execute strategic continuous improvement initiatives across multiple value streams to enhance safety, delivery, quality, and cost. This role is based on-site at our Grand Prairie, TX facility and reports to the OPEX manager.

You will work cross-functionally to prioritize, define, develop and implement initiatives that deliver process optimization and eliminate waste. Applying data-driven principles and digital tools, you will develop and execute continuous improvement roadmaps to maximize operational performance.

You will champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement in compliance with aerospace industry regulations. As a change agent, you will coach, train, and engage all organizational levels to foster a lean culture and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence in aerospace or a highly regulated manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering, operations, or other technical disciplines.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification(s) and demonstrated expertise in Lean Line Design. Green Belt or higher certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with data analytics systems and software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Excel, ERP systems).
  • Must be eligible to obtain a government secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement in compliance with aerospace industry regulations and company policies.
  • Serve as a change agent by coaching, training, and engaging all organizational levels to foster lean culture and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, deliver, and lead training, certification programs, and lean events to enhance Lean/Six Sigma capabilities and achieve CI objectives.
  • Facilitate problem solving and mentor project leaders in applying Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and tools across operations.
  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing practices using lean line design principles, visual management standards, and 5S workplace organization.
  • Establish, track, and analyze KPIs to monitor lean maturity, process performance, and support new product introductions and process changes.
  • Apply data-driven principles and implement digital tools to develop and execute continuous improvement roadmaps that maximize operational performance.
