About this role

The Boeing Company is looking for a Production Engineering First Line Leader located in Mesa, AZ. Join us to provide hands-on Production Engineering support to Boeing Mesa Vertical Lift Programs such as the Apache AH-64 and AH-6 Little Bird helicopter platforms. This includes the Electrical, Composites, and Metallics Fabrication Centers of Excellence.

You will work with a highly skilled team of Manufacturing Engineering, Product Review Engineering, Tool Engineering, and Industrial Engineering personnel. Develop real-time solutions and innovations to complex manufacturing issues. Oversee day-to-day production engineering activities related to the statement of work at the Mesa site.

Lead and manage a multi-disciplined Production Engineering team responsible for Manufacturing, Tooling, and Product Review Engineering deliverables. Coordinate oversight of technical solutions, processes, and production issues with Operations, Supplier Quality, Supplier Management, and Program Management. This role demands strong leadership in a dynamic aerospace environment.

This position offers the unique opportunity to innovate in aerospace manufacturing for military platforms. It is 100% onsite in Mesa, AZ, supporting critical Vertical Lift and fabrication programs. Contribute to Boeing's excellence in helicopter and composites production.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
  • 5 years’ experience supporting manufacturing programs
  • 3 years’ experience leading teams or projects
  • 5 years’ experience working in an engineering discipline
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role or completion of Boeing’s Exploring Leadership course
  • Experience in Production Engineering including Manufacturing Engineering, Liaison Engineering, Tool Engineering, and Industrial Engineering
  • “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 for Export Control compliance
  • Production process knowledge of Fabrication and Assembly

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day oversight of production engineering activities related to the statement of work at the Mesa site
