About this role
Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an energetic and innovative Associate Aerodynamics Engineer (Aerodynamics Analysis) to join the BCA Flight Sciences team. The team supports 787 production and delivery activities with growing demand for engineering talent. Responsibilities include resolving aerodynamic issues during manufacturing and demonstrating compliance for delivery.
As an Aerodynamics Engineer, you will perform analysis impacting aircraft safety, quality on delivery, and performance in service. Daily work involves supporting aerodynamic issues during manufacturing and customer delivery. You will conduct tests and demonstrate compliance with regulations and requirements.
This team is part of the larger Flight Sciences organization and may support other programs as required. The BCA Flight Sciences South Carolina team handles statement of work for production and delivery. It focuses on aerodynamic challenges identified in manufacturing processes.
You will help develop and improve aerodynamic analysis tools and processes. The role offers opportunities within a dynamic organization supporting key aircraft programs. Relocation is available based on candidate eligibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
- 2+ years of related work experience
- Master of Science degree in aerospace engineering or related discipline
- Experience with aerodynamic analysis
- Experience with Aerodynamics Engineering
- Knowledge of regulations related to aerodynamics
- Experience with 787 production support
Responsibilities
- Perform aerodynamic analysis to support BCA Flight Sciences South Carolina statement of work
- Support aerodynamic issues during aircraft manufacturing and customer delivery
- Demonstrate compliance with aerodynamic regulations and customer requirements
- Conduct aerodynamic tests
