Textron eAviation is seeking Flight Controls Engineering Interns to join a dynamic team that is leading the future of aviation. Engineers strive daily for innovation and settle for nothing less than excellence. Perform activities to accomplish objectives in systems development, analysis, modeling, and integration.

Design and development of various electro-mechanical systems and installation ranging from Flight Controls, Flight Control Laws, Flight Control Electronics, Actuation, and Landing Gear. Draft engineering documentation such as Flight Control development test plans, functional test plans, supplier requirements, and compliance reports. Work individually or through engineering functional groups.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
  • Completed a minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the internship
  • PC proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Ability to prioritize a variety of assignments

Responsibilities

  • Perform activities to accomplish objectives in systems development, analysis, modeling (3D and simulation), and integration
  • Design and develop electro-mechanical systems including Flight Controls, Flight Control Laws, Flight Control Electronics, Actuation, and Landing Gear
  • Draft engineering documentation such as Flight Control development test plans, functional test plans, supplier requirements, and compliance reports
  • Support integration of flight control systems with airframe and avionics
  • Conduct simulations of flight control laws and system performance
  • Analyze control system requirements and compliance for certification
