In the Systems Engineer role, utilize knowledge for clarification of requirements, system engineering analyses, algorithm development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification. This part-time position targets senior or postgraduate students in Computer Science or related STEM field. Planned to begin in Summer 2026 with expected graduation May 2027 or August 2027.

Analyze and define how the system works by creating use cases. Decompose requirements, define system interfaces and determine how requirements will be validated and verified. Support planning and execution of Integration, Verification, or Flight Test activities.

Join the Raytheon Cooperative Education Program as a software engineering co-op. Upon selection, complete Co-op Program Agreement and submit for U.S. Government security clearance including SF-86. A program information seminar will be scheduled with interviews.

Requirements

  • Senior or postgraduate student in Computer Science or related STEM field
  • Expected graduation date of May 2027 or August 2027
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government issued security clearance
  • TS/SCI without Polygraph security clearance
  • Complete Co-op Program Agreement upon selection
  • Submit Standard Form 86 (SF-86) for security clearance
  • Maintain eligibility for U.S. Government security clearance throughout program
