Lutz, US · Full-time · $110,000 – $140,000

About this role

The Aerodynamics Engineer, a member of the Flight Dynamics Group, develops, integrates, tests, and documents aerodynamic and engine simulations for flight training simulators. This role covers fixed and rotary-wing commercial and military aircraft. It requires background in aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and feedback control in a fast-paced prototyping environment.

Daily tasks include developing aircraft flight test plans with on-site data collection support. Engineers post-process test data and prepare simulator verification data roadmaps. They build aerodynamic and engine math models plus software for real-time execution.

Integration involves combining simulation models, including OEM models, with simulator hardware, computers, and other systems. Participation covers domestic and international acceptance events with customers, military, and regulators. Collaboration occurs with multi-disciplined engineering groups to meet performance standards.

Prepare qualification test guides, math model reports, and documentation. Stay current with flight simulator regulations and technologies. Provide technical content for proposals while joining a legacy leader in aviation with career-building opportunities.
