About this role

Boeing Global Services is seeking an Experienced Part 21 Electrical / Avionics Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team in Frimley, UK. This role supports the certification of large aircraft modifications for global airline partners, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

Day-to-day, you will lead design and certification activities, compile engineering documentation such as wiring diagrams and service bulletins, and act as Boeing representative during customer meetings. You will work across multiple time zones with the global engineering services team to identify requirements and solutions for active and upcoming projects.

You will be part of a best-in-class team within Boeing Commercial Aviation Services Europe Limited, collaborating with skilled scientists, thinkers, and innovators. The role requires occasional national and international travel to visit teammates, customers, and subcontractors.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Avionics or Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering
Current or recent employment within the aerospace industry working with an EASA Part 21J Design Organization (or equivalent) is essential
Previous experience as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) is advantageous
Experience with certification documentation including electrical load analysis, system safety assessments, and EWIS assessments
Proficiency in creating and reviewing wiring diagrams, wire routing drawings, and harness fabrication drawings
Ability to lead design and certification activities for large aircraft modifications

Responsibilities

Report to the Electrical / Avionics Engineering Manager and work with the global engineering services team across multiple time zones to identify requirements and solutions for active and upcoming projects
Lead and contribute to design activities to ensure compliance with design requirements and address certification and design/integration issues relating to electrical/avionic equipment and systems changes
Lead certification activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including on-wing test witnessing
Compile and check engineering documentation and instructions for continued airworthiness, including wiring diagrams, wire routing installation drawings, harness fabrication drawings, and service bulletins
Compile and check certification documents such as electrical load analysis, test plans and reports, compliance statements, system safety documents, and certification programmes
Act as Boeing representative during customer meetings such as ITCM, PDR, CDR, and FAI, and provide on-site support during the embodiment phase of projects
