At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. We are seeking an Experienced Part 21 Electrical / Avionics Engineer to join our rapidly expanding, best-in-class team within Boeing EASA Modifications, based in Frimley, UK.

You will support the certification of large aircraft modifications for global airline partners, demonstrating compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Reporting to the Electrical / Avionics Engineering Manager, you will work across multiple time-zones to identify requirements and solutions for active and upcoming projects.

You will lead design activities to ensure compliance with design requirements, address certification and design/integration issues, and lead certification activities including on-wing test witnessing. You will compile and check engineering documentation such as wiring diagrams, wire routing installation drawings, harness fabrication drawings, and service bulletins.

This role will require occasional national and/or international travel to visit teammates, customers and subcontractors. Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree within Electrical / Avionics or Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering
Previous experience as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) is advantageous
Current or recent experience in EASA Part 21 design and certification of large aircraft modifications
Experience with electrical/avionic equipment and systems integration for commercial aircraft
Proficiency in compiling certification documents such as compliance statements, test plans, and system safety assessments
Ability to work across multiple time-zones with global engineering services teams

Responsibilities

Report to the Electrical / Avionics Engineering Manager and work with the global engineering services team across multiple time-zones to identify requirements and associated solutions for active and upcoming projects
Lead and contribute to design activities to ensure compliance with design requirements and address certification and design/integration issues relating to electrical/avionic equipment and systems changes as part of large aircraft modifications
Lead certification activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including on-wing test witnessing
Compile and check engineering documentation for continued airworthiness, including wiring diagrams, wire routing installation drawings, harness fabrication drawings, and service bulletins
Compile and check certification documents to demonstrate compliance with electrical systems airworthiness requirements, including electrical load analysis, test plans and reports, compliance statements, and system safety documents
Act as Boeing representative during customer meetings such as ITCM, PDR, CDR and FAI in support of active and upcoming projects
Provide on-site support to assist customers during the embodiment phase of the project
