In this role, ensure compliance with DO-178C DAL A and related standards. Oversee that safety processes are followed by software developers. Review safety certification artifacts to ensure they comply with DO-178C objectives and planning documents.
Support internal and external compliance audits. Provide guidance and mentoring on DO-178C standards and safety practices. This work is analogous to Designated Engineering Representative (DER) artifact compliance reviews, not SQA, management, or software development.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years VxWorks or other RTOS embedded C/C++ software development
- Minimum 3 years focused on safety-critical systems and DO-178C compliance
- Well versed in the C programming language
- Deep understanding of DO-178C standards, particularly for DAL A certification
- Knowledge of requirements, software high-level and low-level requirements, verification, structural coverage analysis, and tool qualification
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively across multiple geographies
- Meticulous attention to safety and compliance standards
- US Citizenship required
