Bengaluru, IN · Full-time · INR 2,500,000 – INR 4,000,000
About this role
The Static Stress Engineer role at Airbus involves performing stress analysis on metallic and composite aircraft structures using classical methods, ISAMI, GFEM, and DFEM. Responsibilities include extracting loads, stresses, material data, geometry details, and fastener specifications from part and assembly drawings. This ensures structural integrity meets aviation standards.
Daily tasks encompass applying static design values from standard references and creating, refining Finite Element Models using geometric data. Engineers conduct sizing of primary and secondary structures to satisfy static requirements, extract fastener loads, and perform detailed joint analysis. Reserve Factors are calculated for failure modes like strength, buckling, and shear panel failure.
Collaboration with design, loads, and certification teams is essential to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Professionals identify low Reserve Factor mitigations using classical or numerical methods and prepare stress certification dossiers, including ACD4 and SSR reports. This team-oriented environment supports Airbus India's engineering efforts.
The position demands 5-7 years of experience and awareness of compliance risks with a commitment to integrity for company success. Airbus fosters flexible working arrangements to enable innovative thinking and connection. An inclusive environment welcomes diverse applications for sustainable growth.
