Aerodynamics Engineer - Aerodynamic Data Modeling
3w3 weeks agoAirbus
Manching, DE · Full-time · €80,000 – €110,000
About this role
Airbus Defence and Space aerodynamics department supports all military aircraft programs along their product life cycle. The team uses numerical simulations, wind tunnel testing and flight test to understand aerodynamic behavior. They create aircraft representative aerodynamic data and models for stability & control, performance, loads and aeroelastics.
You will shape aerodynamic data models based on wind tunnel, flight test and numerical simulation data of high agility fighter aircraft. Drive the development of future aerodynamic dataset modeling technologies. Provide support to production for aerodynamics impact on non-conformities, repairs and in-service incidents.
Located about an hour’s drive north of Munich, Manching offers quality of life in the countryside with nearby cities accessible. Work in a diverse environment with more than 140 nationalities where every voice is heard. Enjoy on-site facilities including medical officer, canteen, cafeteria and nearby kindergarten.
Excellent upskilling opportunities and great international development prospects await. Compatibility of family and work through job sharing, part-time models, flexible hours and individual timeout. Push boundaries at the heart of Airbus with a team of great aerodynamic engineers toward a digital, sustainable and safer future.
