About this role

The jobholder provides stress validation to the design solutions addressing NC and Concessions occurred during manufacturing in Airbus plants. Working with Airbus design office, provide stress justification for the modifications of all Airbus programs. This role ensures structural integrity across production processes.

Perform detail stressing of components and mechanisms according with Airbus procedures, standards and methods. Analyze and validate Metal &/or Composites / Hybrids structures at component level for static strength, F&DT, producing relevant strength margins or reserve factors according to validated Airbus methods.

Analyze static strength and dynamic capabilities with provided loads to calculate strength margins and generate reports. Apply finite element method or classical analysis methods to predict failure modes of aircraft metallic and composite structures. Generate fatigue spectrum from aircraft cycle definition files for fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.

Support manufacturing with stress analysis of non-conformity for element parts and assembly. Operate in a multicultural and international environment at Airbus Beijing Engineering Centre. Airbus fosters flexible working arrangements and commits to workforce diversity and inclusive practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor and above degree major in mechanical design or aircraft design or mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 2 years experience of static strength analysis for metal or composite structure
  • Experience of fatigue and damage tolerance (crack propagation) analysis
  • Good technical understanding of aircraft structure analysis, repair, or plant engineering
  • Good at Patran, Nastran, Hyperworks
  • Good level of English skills in both writing and speaking
  • Capability in programming like VBA, Python
  • Good interpersonal communication skills in a multicultural and international environment
