Costa Mesa, US · Full-time · $146,000 – $194,000

About this role

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. The Air Dominance and Strike Aerodynamics Engineering Team is responsible for the advanced aerodynamic design and analysis for Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms. Aerodynamics Engineers own the full development lifecycle, from conceptual design to flight test planning, execution and analysis.

You will perform aerodynamic design of unmanned air vehicles and missiles at conceptual, preliminary, and detail design maturities. Aerodynamic analysis uses both low and high order methods, including development and improvement of analysis tools as needed. Stability and control analysis, aircraft performance modeling, and aerodynamic loads generation are core daily activities.

The team focuses on high-performance, resilient, and scalable systems designed for complex, contested environments. Anduril brings the expertise, technology, and business model of 21st century innovative companies to the defense industry, changing how military systems are designed, built, and sold.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology for military systems. You will own the full lifecycle of air vehicle aerodynamic design, from concept through flight test, directly impacting U.S. and allied defense capabilities.
