About this role

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an energetic and innovative Associate Aerodynamics Engineer (Aerodynamics Analysis) to join the BCA Flight Sciences team in North Charleston, SC. The BCA Flight Sciences South Carolina team supports 787 production and delivery activities. This team resolves aerodynamic issues identified during manufacturing and demonstrates compliance for delivery.

As an Aerodynamics Engineer, you will work on items that directly impact aircraft safety and quality on delivery, as well as aircraft performance in service. Responsibilities include performing aerodynamic analysis to support the BCA Flight Sciences South Carolina statement of work. You will also support aerodynamic issues during aircraft manufacturing and customer delivery.

The team is part of the larger Flight Sciences organization and may support other programs and activities as required. There is a growing demand for engineering talent in this dynamic environment focused on production and delivery. This setting provides exposure to real-world aerodynamic challenges in aerospace manufacturing.

You will demonstrate compliance with aerodynamic regulations and customer requirements while conducting aerodynamic tests. Opportunities exist to help develop and improve aerodynamic analysis tools and processes. Contribute to ongoing enhancements in flight sciences engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
  • 2+ years of related work experience
  • Master of Science degree in aerospace engineering or related discipline (Preferred)
  • Experience with aerodynamic analysis (Preferred)
  • Experience with Aerodynamics Engineering (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of regulations related to aerodynamics (Preferred)
  • Experience with 787 production support (Preferred)
