Hermeus

Los Angeles, US · Full-time · $130,000 – $170,000

About this role

Hermeus is a high-speed aircraft manufacturer focused on the rapid design, build, and test of high-Mach and hypersonic aircraft for the national interest. Working directly with the Department of Defense, Hermeus delivers capabilities that ensure our nation and allies maintain an asymmetric advantage. An exceptional Aerodynamics Engineer will contribute to the design and analysis of high supersonic vehicles.

You will develop advanced aerodynamic solutions ensuring optimal performance, stability, and efficiency during high-speed flight. This involves conducting CFD simulations, optimizing vehicle configurations for hypersonic travel, and validating predictions through wind tunnel testing. Daily work centers on refining designs for supersonic to hypersonic vehicles.

Join a dynamic multidisciplinary team in an iterative development pace not seen since the 60s. Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines to integrate aerodynamic designs into overall vehicle performance. The environment emphasizes rapid innovation for groundbreaking aerospace solutions.

Play a crucial role in creating capabilities that provide strategic advantages over adversaries. Contribute to experimental programs and innovative solutions in high-speed aerodynamics. Advance national interests through cutting-edge hypersonic technology development.
