Boeing Global Services unites expertise across commercial, defence and space sectors to deliver innovative engineering solutions for airline partners worldwide. The organisation seeks an Experienced Part 21 Electrical / Avionics Engineer to support certification of large aircraft modifications within its EASA Modifications team.
The successful candidate will work with the global engineering services team across multiple time zones to identify requirements and deliver compliant solutions for active and upcoming projects. Responsibilities centre on electrical and avionic system changes for large aircraft modifications.
This Design Office role is based in Frimley, UK. The engineer will lead design and certification activities, compile wiring diagrams, installation drawings, service bulletins and continued airworthiness instructions while demonstrating compliance through electrical load analysis, test plans and system safety documents.
The position offers the opportunity to act as Boeing representative at customer meetings including ITCM, PDR, CDR and FAI, with occasional national and international travel to support teammates, customers and subcontractors during embodiment phases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree within Electrical / Avionics or Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering
- Previous experience as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE)
- Current or recent employment within an EASA Part 21J Design Organization (or equivalent)
Responsibilities
- Report to the Electrical / Avionics Engineering Manager and collaborate with the global engineering services team across multiple time zones
- Lead and contribute to design activities ensuring compliance with design requirements for electrical and avionic equipment changes
- Lead certification activities including on-wing test witnessing to demonstrate regulatory compliance
- Compile and check engineering documentation including wiring diagrams, wire routing installation drawings and harness fabrication drawings
- Compile and check service bulletins, accomplishment instructions and aircraft manual ICA supplements including EWIS assessments
- Compile and check certification documents such as electrical load analysis, test plans, compliance statements and system safety documents
- Act as Boeing representative during customer meetings including ITCM, PDR, CDR and FAI and provide on-site support during embodiment
