About this role

You will serve as the product owner for the Thrust Vector Control Actuator of the Spectrum launch vehicle. This places you in the Avionics Control Systems team inside the AGNC department. The team designs, tests and integrates electronic control units for the launch vehicle.

Daily work centers on owning the full lifecycle of your product and managing all associated interfaces. You will handle interdisciplinary tasks across design, qualification, integration and testing while delivering on time, budget and scope. Fast-paced R&D defines the environment.

You will join a focused avionics team that builds control hardware for orbital launch systems. Collaboration spans unit-level engineering through vehicle integration at the launch pad. The setting rewards hands-on problem solving and rapid iteration.

The role offers direct ownership of a critical flight actuator and participation in avionics architecture decisions. You will shape technology roadmaps and automated test infrastructure for future vehicles. Career growth comes through expanding technical and programmatic responsibility.

Requirements

  • University Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable
  • 2+ years of working experience with Electric or electrohydraulic drives
  • Excellent knowledge of Power Electronics and Electrical Machines
  • Excellent knowledge of Control of Electrical Machines
  • Experience in the verification of Electrical Drives
  • Experience in E-CAD tools (Schematic & Layout Design), preferably Altium Designer
  • Experience in verification of complex circuitry, such as embedded systems, DCDC converter and analog frontends
  • Hands On mentality, can-do attitude
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

Responsibilities

  • Take on unit level tasks for your product including design, qualification & acceptance testing, as well as integration and return analysis
  • Be the product owner of the PCB of your product, drive requirements definition, schematic capture, layout and design verification
  • Own all interfaces of your products across their lifecycle, from unit to system level integration & testing, including all technical and programmatic interfaces
  • Define and develop procedures for automated end-of-line testing of your hardware
  • Plan and conduct vehicle integration and testing for your products, both in Germany and on the launch pad
  • Build up and maintain automated qualification & acceptance testing infrastructure
  • Actively participate in the definition of the Avionics architecture and associated technology roadmaps
