About this role
Airbus Helicopters seeks a Production Engineering Specialist to create, document, implement, and improve technical work instructions based on design data for manufacturing helicopters. This role covers the complete process to assemble, test, process, and deliver products on platforms like H125, H130, H135, H145, and H160. The position requires onsite work in Columbus, MS.
Daily tasks include reviewing and sequencing manufacturing tasks for efficiency, inputting design data into MRP systems for production structures, and analyzing parts for in-house versus external manufacturing decisions. Estimate production times and costs to support scheduling and resource planning. Coordinate work instructions to add value for internal customers.
Join engineers at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facility who manage technical information, quality control, and assembly from concept to customer delivery along flowlines and flightlines. The team produces UH-72A Lakota for the U.S. Army and H-125 for civil customers. Columbus, MS, hosts helicopter manufacturing and the North America Center of Excellence.
Collaborate with Design Engineering, Data Management, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Production, and Retrofit teams to communicate design requirements accurately. Enhance internal products through audited work instructions. Watch aircraft come to life in a dynamic production environment.
