The position of Airframe/Airpower Structural Design Engineer involves structural design and integration of major airframe components for aircraft platforms like EUROMALE, SIRTAP, FCAS, and Aerostructures. Engage in Airframe Research & Technology projects for advanced highly integrated composite structures in carbon fibre with thermoset and thermoplastic resins. Explore additive manufacturing capabilities for structural optimization.

Be part of the team designing composite elements and final assembly components made of multiple parts. Practice state-of-the-art 3DEXPERIENCE® software for product digital design and manufacturing in a dynamic AGILE environment. Add value to structural design solutions and troubleshoot issues in production and service.

Get involved in engineering multifunctional teams with specialists in materials and processes, structural analysis, manufacturing engineers, in-service support, flight physics, flight control systems, electrical and hydraulic systems, airworthiness, and certification. Each development journey is individual with on-the-job activity and comprehensive training. Join annual development weeks to meet peers, hear from leaders, and build networks.

Requirements

  • University graduate with aspiration, enthusiasm, and talent for aerospace
  • Knowledge of composite structures design and integration
  • Familiarity with carbon fibre composites using thermoset and thermoplastic resins
  • Experience or interest in aircraft airframe components for platforms like EUROMALE, SIRTAP, FCAS
  • Proficiency in product digital design software such as 3DEXPERIENCE®
  • Understanding of manufacturing technologies and assembly processes for composites
  • Awareness of structural analysis and airworthiness requirements

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop major airframe components, defining composite elements and final assembly components made of multiple parts
  • Learn product assembly processes and related manufacturing technologies
  • Practice 3DEXPERIENCE® for product digital design and manufacturing used in aircraft definition and configuration
  • Work in AGILE methodology, adding value within structural design solutions
  • Troubleshoot issues in production and in service
  • Participate in multifunctional engineering teams with specialists in materials, processes, structural analysis, manufacturing, flight physics, systems, and certification
  • Contribute to Airframe Research & Technology projects for advanced composite structures in carbon fibre with thermoset and thermoplastic resins
  • Explore additive manufacturing capabilities for structural optimization
