Lynx delivers modular, open standards-based software solutions for high assurance mission-critical edge platforms in aerospace and defense. We seek a Verification Engineering Lead (DO-178C) as a senior technical leader in the verification and validation organization. This hands-on role leads day-to-day DO-178C verification across safety-critical programs.

The role focuses on execution of requirements-based testing, integration testing, and verification closure activities. You will review and approve test artifacts like cases, procedures, results, and traceability data. Hands-on support resolves complex verification and tooling issues for test engineers.

Work closely with the Test Engineering Manager, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Quality teams. Ensure high-quality, compliant test execution across programs. Collaborate on DO-178C objectives including planning, structural coverage, and problem reporting.

Support certification readiness, audits, and customer reviews for compliance success. Act as day-to-day technical point of contact for test engineers. Ideal for a senior test engineer staying deeply technical with leadership responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Expertise in DO-178C verification processes and objectives
  • Experience with requirements-based testing and traceability
  • Knowledge of structural coverage analysis and MC/DC
  • Proficiency in test artifact review and approval
  • Familiarity with safety-critical software verification in aerospace
  • Skills in tool qualification and verification tooling
  • Understanding of certification audits and compliance reviews
  • Ability to lead verification activities across multiple programs

Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical lead for DO-178C verification activities across assigned programs
  • Lead requirements-based testing, integration testing, and verification closure activities
  • Review and approve test artifacts including test cases, procedures, results, and traceability data
  • Provide hands-on support to test engineers resolving complex verification and tooling issues
  • Execute and support DO-178C verification objectives including planning, testing, structural coverage, and problem reporting
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, procedures, and results
  • Support certification readiness, audits, and customer reviews
  • Collaborate with Quality and Certification teams to ensure compliance and audit success
