Perform sizing and support analysis activities for design changes, improvements, and new aircraft development programs. Support the design process from initial concept through final production, ensuring aircraft meet or exceed technical requirements. Write structural substantiation reports meeting program and certifying authority guidelines.

Support different teams to ensure quality products with supporting documentation are produced. Interface constructively in a cross-functional team environment with excellent communication skills. Create new and update existing certification DFEMs for structural compliance.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in aircraft structural substantiation analysis
  • Strong proficiency in classical analysis methods
  • Strong proficiency and experience in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) analysis methods and tools (i.e. Nasgro)
  • Knowledge of interactions between loads and structures
  • Knowledge and experience of structural sizing methodologies
  • Proficiency in FEM based analysis tools (MSC Patran/Nastran, Altair Hypermesh) developing/running DFEMs and also GFEMs (loads models)
  • Understanding of civil aircraft certification rules and experience in certification procedures
