About this role

Designs new airframe primary and secondary structural components, including preliminary design concepts, research and investigation, 3 dimensional models and production engineering drawings. This role focuses on composites and metal structures, flight controls systems, and seat structures. No supervisory responsibility required.

Generate and develop CAD models using CREO/Pro E and related drawings. Troubleshoot installation and quality issues, making corrective design changes. Produce preliminary cost and weight estimates along with preliminary structural analysis.

Responsible for mockup development, design reviews, and design documentation. Create certification test plans and reports, managing related testing and data. Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, and manufacturing teams.

Requirements

  • CAD experience (CREO preferred)
  • PDM/PLM experience (Winchill preferred)
  • Drafting/GD&T experience
  • Experience with FAA Part 23 certification requirements preferred
  • Design experience with composites and/or molded panels
  • Working knowledge of structural design and analysis
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft systems and structures
  • Proficiency with CAD, PDM, and Microsoft Office programs
