About this role

The A220 commercial aircraft program's Aerostructures Engineering team, based in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada, seeks a structures design expert. You will collaborate closely with all aerostructures design teams involved in A220 development. If you have experience in aerostructures design and wish to evolve, this role is for you.

Reporting to the Head of Structures at Airbus Canada, you will be a beacon, trusted authority, and source of knowledge for the structures designers community. Your deep understanding and exceptional judgment will drive excellence in all projects. You will lead innovation in structures design at Airbus Canada in Montreal.

Guide teams, share expertise, shape standards, and collaborate globally on large-scale projects. Requirements

  • Experience in aerostructures design
  • Background in aerostructures engineering
  • Deep understanding of structural design principles
  • Exceptional judgment for complex technical issues
  • Expertise in commercial aircraft structures
  • Knowledge of Airbus standards and best practices
  • Ability to integrate lessons learned from programs like A220

Responsibilities

  • Act as knowledge catalyst by capturing, disseminating, and elevating structural design knowledge within teams
  • Integrate and improve Airbus standards and best practices, including A220 program lessons learned
  • Resolve the most complex technical challenges by providing expert support and advice
  • Propel innovation by leading or supporting crucial projects and strategic initiatives
  • Guide aerostructures design teams and share expertise across the community
  • Influence the future of aviation through shaping design standards
  • Collaborate globally on large-scale aerostructures development projects
