About this role

Boeing Ukraine LLC seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for the 787 team in Kyiv, Ukraine. This role develops, implements, and maintains manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration. It focuses on assembly and installation processes essential for aerospace production.

Daily tasks include developing manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives. Engineers integrate suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet delivery requirements. They review supplier data, investigate technical issues, and perform producibility assessments for designs.

The position involves providing producibility input to design and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules. Review integrated work statements and sequencing to support commitments. Draft, update, and review processes while supporting team members as mentor or checker.

Participate in Lean principles and technologies implementation within a global engineering team. Broaden experience through international aviation projects and technical workshops. Enjoy professional skills development via educational assistance and certification programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret Engineering documentation - Engineering drawings and Specifications
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and International standards (ASME Y14.5(2018), ASME Y14.5(2009))
  • English language level – intermediate or higher
  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and data needed for defining delivery configurations for 787 airplane
  • Ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration
  • Develop manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives
  • Develop and integrate suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements
  • Review supplier data to ensure manufacturing-related requirements are met
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing technical related issues
  • Perform producibility assessments for part or product designs
  • Provide producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and technologies to meet cost and schedules
  • Support other team members as mentor/checker to meet engineering commitments
