CACI seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for its Optical and Photonics Systems Division in Orlando. The team specializes in design, development, and manufacturing of complex communications systems for military, space, and commercial applications. Responsibilities include researching, designing, developing, and supporting efficient production processes for complex products.
Conduct studies to determine optimal equipment sequences, operations, and workflows in production facilities. Evaluate cost factors and recommend methods for economic utilization of facilities and personnel. Prepare cost estimates for proposed projects.
Interface with design engineers to ensure hardware producibility and develop build strategies. Direct support personnel in day-to-day manufacturing tasks. Collaborate in a team environment with people at all levels.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in ME, EE or OE and minimum of 8 years or Associate’s Degree and minimum of 10 years or equivalent combination of education and experience in Optics Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar industrial field
- Knowledge of process control, cleanroom operation protocol, and process control for complex opto-mechanical and electro-optical assembly
- Proven technical acumen in the manufacture, test and integration of complex product technologies and systems for DoD or Space
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
- Excellent communication and ability to work well in team environment with people at all levels
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance
- Knowledge of MIL/IPC workmanship and performance standards related to electronic assemblies IPC-610, IPC-620, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-883, NASA Spec (Desired)
- Manufacturing Execution System experience (Desired)
Responsibilities
- Lead fabrication process development, documentation, ECOs, process training, and maintain production yield, quality, and cleanliness
- Interface with design engineers to ensure hardware producibility and develop build strategies
- Drive cost reduction and implement best process controls to produce top quality products for customers
- Direct support personnel in day-to-day execution of manufacturing tasks
- Actively think and act independently to propose or translate ideas and new concepts into tangible process results
- Plan and support build and modification of electronics systems including procurement support, assembly method/work instructions generation, tooling design support, material/process development, facilities/equipment planning, and resolution of manufacturing, quality, and reliability issues
