About this role

We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer – CNC Programming and Floor Support who enjoys working on complex, high-impact systems and collaborating across engineering teams. This role supports advanced defense and aerospace systems, focusing on mission-critical technologies used in real-world operational environments. You'll contribute across the full system lifecycle—from concept and design through integration, testing, and production support.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop system solutions. Support system integration, testing, and validation activities. Work with models, simulations, prototypes, and hardware/software systems while identifying risks and supporting technical decision-making.

Operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with shop floor experience alongside production operators and machinists. Develop tool and fixture concepts for CNC machining and write programming and standard work instructions. Communicate design factors like ease of manufacturing and machine capabilities with stakeholders.

Improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency using Continuous Improvement tools. Success measured by completing tasks on time 98% of the time, proficiency in 80% of responsibilities within 90 days, full meeting participation, and positive feedback from 90% of team members.

Requirements

  • Degree in STEM and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience (or Advanced Degree + 3 years, or BSME/BSIE + 8 years, or 10-15 years related experience)
  • U.S. citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance (Interim acceptable)
  • High proficiency in CNC Manufacturing using Mastercam CAD/CAM Software
  • Demonstrated proficiency in 5-axis programming
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Lathe programming with live tooling
  • Demonstrated ability to develop tool and fixture concepts related to CNC machining
  • Manufacturing shop floor experience working closely with production operators/machinists
  • Technical drawing interpretation with extensive knowledge of GD&T

Responsibilities
