You will perform precision assembly on complex production and repair actuators using blueprints and specifications. Utilize mechanical measuring equipment like dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers to maintain accuracy. Conduct tests on hydraulic, mechanical, and electromechanical flight actuators with specialized fixtures and tools.
Report to the Leader, Performance in an onsite role at Torrance, CA on 1st shift. Work with a team designing and integrating FCAS systems for cutting-edge military aircraft. Headquartered in East Aurora, NY, Moog employs 14,000 people across 24 countries.

Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise demonstrated ability to understand work instructions in English and perform basic math
- Minimum 3 years of Assembly experience (mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical or electronic)
- Assembly experience in the Aerospace industry
- Experience performing precision assembly and test of hydraulic, mechanical and electromechanical flight actuators
- Experience with precision measuring equipment such as dial indicators, calipers and micrometers
- Experience with diagnosing/troubleshooting mechanical components and test failures
- Ability to read blueprints
- Basic computer program skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)
Responsibilities
- Perform precision assembly on complex production and repair actuators
- Adjust or align through shimming and other means of mechanical adjustments specified by blueprint
- Utilize mechanical measuring equipment such as dial indicators, calipers and indicating micrometers
- Maintain dimensional accuracy on assemblies utilizing torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling, gages
- Perform various test operations on production or repair mechanical or hydraulic actuators
- Diagnose common test failures and recommends or performs rework to correct discrepancies
- Hold problem units for engineering disposition
- Ensure that units are set up and tested in conformance with current revision letters
