Join QinetiQ's Aerospace Systems Engineering team to support customers across a wide range of aircraft platforms. Activities include certification, technical programme management, independent advice, design, manufacture, testing, and concept development. Work spans all stages of military and civilian aircraft lifecycles.

Apply best practice Systems Engineering principles such as Requirements Elicitation, Lifecycle Management, System Design, Verification & Validation, and Through Life Engineering support to aerospace projects. Much work is desktop-based with opportunities for hands-on assessments and aircraft trials. Support procurement, entry into service, new capabilities, modifications, or equipment.

Requirements

  • Degree with predicted or achieved 2:1 or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering
  • Degree with predicted or achieved 2:1 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Degree with predicted or achieved 2:1 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Degree with predicted or achieved 2:1 or equivalent in Electronic Engineering
  • Degree with predicted or achieved 2:1 or equivalent in Systems Engineering or related
  • Proactive and passionate about aerospace technology
  • Forward-thinking with interest in novel ideas and emerging concepts

Responsibilities

  • Support customers across aircraft platforms through certification and technical programme management
  • Provide independent advice, design, manufacture, testing, and concept development
  • Work at all stages of military and civilian aircraft lifecycles
  • Apply Systems Engineering principles in Requirements Elicitation and Lifecycle Management
  • Conduct System Design, Verification & Validation, and Through Life Engineering support
  • Integrate technical inputs to create, lead, and deliver solutions
  • Participate in hands-on assessments and aircraft trials
