Archer

San Jose, US · Full-time · $150,000 – $190,000

About this role

Archer is an aerospace company building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft to advance sustainable air mobility. We design, manufacture, and operate an all-electric aircraft carrying four passengers while producing minimal noise. Our sights are set high on hard problems in eVTOL development.

You will perform low/mid/high fidelity aerodynamic simulations of Archer eVTOL aircraft and develop linear/non-linear aerodynamic models to predict behavior throughout the flight envelope. Analyze experimental data from flight tests or wind tunnels to identify model errors, validate, and improve vehicle aerodynamics. Develop methods to feed flight test data back into simulation models of various fidelity.

Contribute to the aerodynamic software stack by improving methods and workflows. Coordinate with cross-functional teams and pilots for flight simulator updates and issue resolution. Thrive in a fast-paced design environment emphasizing diversity for smarter insights.

Diversity in the workplace drives better insights and lifts us to success. We cultivate an equitable and inclusive environment embracing differences and celebrating team members. Advance your career shaping sustainable aviation through cutting-edge modeling.
