As Structural Engineer - Rotor, you handle all structural topics in rotor design, stress design, rotor testing including fatigue, static strength, damage tolerance, bird strike, and compliance demonstration.

Your responsibilities include defining test strategy, test bench selection, test bench design support, external tests support, test plan generation, and test analysis. You perform stress and structural analysis like fatigue, damage tolerance, and static strength for rotors.

Requirements

  • Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree (MSc, Ph.D.)
  • 5 years of professional experience in the field of rotors or propellers structures (preferably of rotorcrafts)
  • Experience with method validation process based on test data (test benches, flight test)
  • Experience in developing, manufacturing, and testing of composite aircraft or rotors including composite fatigue and damage tolerance
  • Experience in composite stress analysis
  • Detailed knowledge of current subject related certification requirements (SC-VTOL, CS25/27/29), applicable Methods of Compliance, adjacent certification and industry requirements
  • Practical experience in the verification function within a comparable completed project

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all structural activities are done within cost/time/schedule targets
  • Participate as a design engineer in the communication with EASA as part of the Project team
  • Drive the rotor structural design and design process including the used processes and materials
  • Handle structural design and stress design for rotors
  • Manage rotor testing including fatigue, static strength, damage tolerance, and bird strike
  • Define test strategy, test bench selection, test bench design support, and test plan generation
  • Perform test analysis and support external tests
  • Conduct stress and structural analysis like fatigue, damage tolerance, and static strength
