About this role
As a Senior Java Software Engineer at CS Group USA, you will play a key role in the development and certification of safety-critical systems for leading aerospace manufacturers. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex high-tech systems in a primarily remote environment.
Your daily work involves designing, developing, and maintaining Java applications for embedded and real-time systems, following DO-330 and DO-178C processes. You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through deployment, writing clean, tested code.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams spanning systems, software, test, and quality engineering, working closely together despite geographic distribution. Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java software development.
- Strong hands-on experience in Python.
- Experience developing software for embedded or real-time systems is strongly preferred.
- Good understanding of object-oriented design principles and software engineering best practices.
- Good understanding of DO-330 and DO-178C software lifecycle processes.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and modern development tools.
- U.S. citizenship is required; dual citizenship should be disclosed.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java applications for complex software systems using embedded systems expertise.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle in accordance with DO-330 and DO-178C processes.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following software engineering best practices.
- Contribute to software architecture, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Develop and execute unit and integration tests, and troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software performance.
- Collaborate with systems, software, test, and quality engineering teams.
- Contribute to technical documentation and software lifecycle artifacts.
