About this role

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,000+ satellites in low Earth orbit. Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are looking for talented technicians to help full-scale production of the Kuiper satellites.

This team is based in Redmond, WA and will require on-site availability during working hours. Required shift schedules include Front-Days, Back-Days, Front-Nights, or Back-Nights with specific working days and days off. Flexibility is open due to available headcount for open shift schedules.

Your work may include contributing to improving SOPs and safety procedures. Participate in process improvements and maintain floor stock inventory. Independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum due to export control laws
  • 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines
  • 1+ years in relevant assembly or manufacturing experience
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed with varying shifts depending on program needs
  • Able to lift up to 25lbs unassisted
  • Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching
  • Must pick one of the required shift patterns: Front-Days, Back-Days, Front-Nights, or Back-Nights

Responsibilities

  • Follow work instructions and safety procedures
  • Assemble and test with emphasis to detail an assortment of LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, avionics, or other complex aerospace builds
  • Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance
  • Participate in process improvements and maintain floor stock inventory
  • Independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
  • Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
  • Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
  • Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc
