Aquila Technology is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. You will work with a team performing systems engineering activities for a large program. The team’s passion shows every day in building robust, policy-compliant IT systems or stress-testing to identify gaps and security vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities include developing, flowing down and tracking requirements, architecting systems, and developing an MBSE model of the systems and their interfaces. Plan and lead verification and validation activities while identifying risks and defining risk mitigation strategies. Deploy smart, purposeful solutions that work to own results and get the work done right the first time.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aero/Astro, Software Engineering, or related fields
- At least 7 years of relevant experience with systems engineering for space or airborne systems
- 5 years of Systems Engineering
- 2 years of Model Based Systems Engineering
- 2 years of SysML experience
- Experience with SysML Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools
- Interim Secret clearance sufficient to start; must be willing to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
Responsibilities
