We are seeking an Aerospace Systems Electrical Engineer to provide technical expertise and engineering support for aircraft communication, navigation, secure communications, and cockpit avionics configurations.
In this role, you will evaluate system specifications, conduct electrical analyses and surveys, and support the integration of advanced sensor systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing electrical load analysis, antenna surveys, and electromagnetic interference assessments for communication and navigation systems.
You will provide technical recommendations for integration of the Degraded Visual Environment Pilotage System (DVEPS) and support cockpit configuration evaluations. Requirements
- ABET accredited degree
- 3 years of related experience
- Experience with aircraft avionics systems including communication, navigation, and secure communications technologies
- Knowledge of electrical load analysis, EMI/EMC principles, and antenna systems
- Familiarity with avionics specifications, interface control documents, and system integration processes
- Ability to analyze complex technical data and produce compliant engineering documentation
- Demonstrated experience supporting DoD acquisition and engineering programs (military rotary wing or fixed wing platform experience highly preferred)
- Must have an in-scope DoD Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Review and assess specifications, interface control documents, and avionics system requirements
- Perform electrical load analysis, antenna surveys, and electromagnetic interference assessments in support of communication, navigation, and secure communication systems
- Provide technical recommendations for integration of the Degraded Visual Environment Pilotage System (DVEPS)
- Support cockpit configuration evaluations and avionics system compatibility assessments
- Conduct electrical analyses and surveys to support aircraft communication and navigation systems
- Prepare required engineering documentation for system integration and sustainment
