As a Principal Aerospace Systems Engineer, you’ll deliver integrated systems engineering solutions supporting Air Domain customers. You’ll lead technical project delivery and guide engineering teams, ensuring systems engineering principles apply throughout the full lifecycle. Welcome experienced engineers or those ready to step up into technical lead positions. Play a central part in high-impact aerospace projects.

Operate from state-of-the-art UK facilities focused on defence, security, and technology innovation. Conduct research, testing, and development for military and civilian applications. Advance technology and support national security through collaborative environments.

Requirements

  • Strong background in air platforms and the air vehicle lifecycle
  • Experience applying systems engineering approaches such as DOORS, MBSE, V&V
  • Understanding of aerospace certification, governance and regulation
  • Ability to provide sound technical judgement on integrated engineering issues
  • Experience leading or contributing to engineering work packages
  • Knowledge of military and civil aerospace environments
  • Recognised aerospace or relevant engineering qualification (HND or above)
  • Professional registration at Incorporated or Chartered level (or working towards it)

  • Provide technical leadership of engineering teams
  • Ensure consistent application of systems engineering methods and tools
  • Assure high-quality integrated technical outputs
  • Capture and analyse customer requirements
  • Shape technical solutions and support bid activity
  • Identify technical risks and support mitigation planning
