Join the In-Service Propulsion Airframe engineering teams at Airbus Commercial Aircraft. Develop structural repairs and engineering solutions for Pylon, Engine Mounts & Nacelle components across all Airbus family products. Analyze damage reports and provide stress justifications for repair instructions enabling quick return to service, with passengers potentially waiting on board. Prepare or approve stress justifications for technical repair solutions per Airbus methods, principles, and airworthiness requirements. Support and approve solutions from extended teams including subcontractors and other Airbus centres.

Coordinate daily with interfaces like internal/external customer representatives, other aircraft components, and functions as needed. Requirements

  • Educated to a 5-year degree level (or equivalent) in Aeronautical/Mechanical engineering or a related discipline
  • Curious with customer-oriented mindset, able to perform in high pressure environment and solution driven
  • Thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Familiarity with stress analysis for propulsion airframe components like pylon, engine mounts, and nacelle
  • Knowledge of airworthiness requirements and Airbus structural repair methods

Responsibilities

  • Analyze damage reports and provide stress justifications for repair instructions enabling quick return to service of the aircraft
  • Prepare stress justifications or approve them with signatory delegations for technical repair solutions in accordance with Airbus methods, principles, and airworthiness requirements
  • Support and approve technical solutions proposed by extended team including subcontractors or other Airbus Engineering centres
  • Coordinate with all interfaces on a daily basis including internal or external customer representatives, other aircraft components, and functions as needed
  • Analyze recurring cases and develop generic solutions to provide more autonomy to internal/external customers
  • Contribute to team efficiency by proposing improvement and sustainable initiatives such as digitalization, automation, innovation, and repair by replace
  • Influence new aircraft design by sharing knowledge of in-service operations
