About this role

At the center of BCA’s multi-faceted approach to stabilize and improve the Production System, the Production Engineering organization is growing. We seek a qualified and passionate leader for a First Level Management (K-Level) position at the Boeing Fabrication site in Frederickson, Washington. Candidates will lead teams in Manufacturing Engineering, Equipment & Tool Engineering, or NC Programming, requiring adaptability and quick learning.

Technical leadership and aptitude are essential, alongside people leadership skills to develop and inspire a diverse team toward shared goals. Strong candidates demonstrate success in building relationships with customers, stakeholders, and peers. They exhibit problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to work across functions for production system solutions.

This role involves managing employees in Production Engineering activities, developing project plans, and setting operational goals. Leaders acquire resources, manage suppliers, and lead process improvements while providing oversight on technical approaches. The position requires 100% onsite work at the listed location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 3+ years of experience in a professional engineering role
  • 3+ years of experience working in a production environment
  • 3+ years of experience with production systems design
  • Experience leading or managing teams
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with build plan development and deployment
  • ABET accredited Engineering degree

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in Production Engineering
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees
