Aerospace Assembly Technicians fabricate aerospace and defense filtration components while keeping accurate records and following procedures.

Technicians conduct close tolerance hole drilling, countersinking, fastener installation, rivet installation, trimming, and assembly. They use or learn to use micrometers, rulers, and calipers for in-process inspections. Tasks demand technical and mechanical skills to ensure efficient performance.

Work in an air-conditioned and clean environment with a four-day workweek and flexible schedule. Collaborate as a team player around chemicals, following PPE standards. Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions for proper builds.

Make meaningful contributions at work and in communities. Effect change through compliant manufacture of engine air filtration systems for aircraft. Availability for overtime supports ongoing innovation in filtration needs.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Technical and mechanical skills for close tolerance hole drilling, countersinking, and assembly
  • Ability to use or learn to use micrometers, rulers, and calipers
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant license a plus
  • Military experience a plus
  • Positive attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Availability to work overtime as necessary

Responsibilities

  • Assemble engine air filtration systems for aircraft
  • Ensure compliant manufacture and workmanship of assemblies as defined by engineering data and plant procedures
  • Work with and around a variety of chemicals and follow all standards regarding PPE
  • Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and other documents to ensure proper build completion
  • Effectively document job completion paperwork
  • Accurately and efficiently manage records and timekeeping
  • Perform close tolerance hole drilling, countersinking, fastener installation, rivet installation, trimming, and assembly
  • Conduct in-process inspections using micrometers, rulers, and calipers
