About this role
Requires entry-level knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and industry-wide systems engineering methodologies. Individuals in this position create system models based on user requirements. They provide technical direction for requirements development, technical problem solving, and architecting complex systems.
Participate in MBSE activities using commercial tools to identify program requirements, relationships, and manage systems engineering processes including interfaces, key performance parameters, operational concepts, logical and physical architectures. Perform design development, analysis, or review tasks under minimal supervision. Assist leads with complex tasks and handle portions of designs or analysis reviews.
Coordinate closely with engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements. Direct interface and liaison with customers from quotation to final design, test activities, design reviews, and technical working group meetings. Verify compliance with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
Develop, maintain, and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications. Establish and maintain filing systems or databases for tracking project status. Assist in generating design specifications for complex projects, with potential for additional tasks as business needs evolve.
Requirements
- Entry-level knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and industry-wide systems engineering methodologies
- Excellent communications and analytical skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related STEM discipline
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience
- U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
- Ability to perform design development and analysis tasks under minimal supervision
- Proficiency in creating system models from user requirements
- Familiarity with commercial MBSE tools
Responsibilities
