Manage production across manufacturing processes, with engineering machine shop experience preferred, ensuring right skill levels, flexibility, and succession planning. Lead successful teams in a busy, demanding manufacturing business to meet customer demands on time and to high quality per specifications. Align Health and Safety practices to the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and local procedures.

Requirements

Ability to manage production across a range of manufacturing processes; engineering machine shop experience preferred
Proven experience managing successful teams in a busy, demanding manufacturing business with track record of meeting customer demands on time and to high quality
Ability to champion, improve, and maintain OPEX and Goal Deployment objectives
Track record of carrying out root cause and countermeasures as a result of performance failure
HNC in related discipline or equivalent, with minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing role at similar level and ILM Level 4/5 in Management
Experience developing successful teams and creating a pipeline of talent
Effective Project Management Skills with track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with strong customer focus

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the Machine Shop Value Stream, including Health & Safety, Environment, Quality, Productivity, Delivery, and Cost
Ensure strategic goal deployment objectives are achieved and maintained
Manage production across a range of manufacturing processes, with engineering machine shop experience preferred
Ensure the business has the right skill level, flexibility, and succession planning
Champion, improve, and maintain OPEX and Goal Deployment objectives
Align Health and Safety management practices to the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and local Danaher/Pall procedures
Carry out root cause analysis and countermeasures for performance failures
Develop improvement plans that continuously improve capacity and cost, acting as an agent for change
