Atlanta, US · Full-time · $111,000 – $147,000

About this role

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. Its family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system creating realtime 3D command and control. The Manufacturing team rapidly iterates and builds cutting-edge defense hardware like flight vehicles.

This role owns a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain for products, developing novel tooling for fabrication and assembly. Engineers develop process flows for complex assemblies and write documentation like work instructions and quality plans. They work hands-on with technicians building prototypes and contribute to hardware design.

The team handles Design for Manufacturability, tool design, process optimization, vendor sourcing, quality planning, and work documentation. It thrives in fast-paced, resource-limited environments solving technical challenges with creative physical solutions. This position involves four 10-hour shifts weekly from 3:30pm to 2am, Monday through Thursday.

Join if you demonstrate holistic ownership in manufacturing electromechanical hardware and leadership skills. Thrive by working with contract manufacturers on repeatable processes for quick-turn development and scaled production. Travel to suppliers to source, solve issues, and implement quality procedures advances your impact.

Requirements

  • Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science
  • 2+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment
  • Demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills, with backing examples
  • Personal experience physically manufacturing hardware via machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.
  • A genuine interest in manufacturing and thirst for learning
  • U.S. Person status required to access export controlled data
  • PCBA fabrication experience including work with SMT processes

Responsibilities

  • Own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain for a certain product or set of products
  • Develop novel tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly of structural parts
  • Develop process flows, breaking down large, complex assemblies into logical subassemblies and sub-processes
  • Write documentation for manufacturing at scale, such as work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements
  • Work with contract manufacturers across disciplines like PCBA fab and metallic manufacturing to develop repeatable processes
  • Work hands-on with technicians and engineers building prototype hardware
  • Contribute to end-customer hardware mechanical or electrical design, including interconnects and board fabrication
  • Travel to suppliers for sourcing, solving production issues, and implementing quality procedures
