About this role
The Systems Engineer - Modeling and Algorithms oversees and actively contributes to high-visibility design projects and digital simulation testing. This role applies scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure design outcomes. Responsibilities include research on software and data processing algorithms in ASE products.
Daily tasks involve collaborating with vendors to review algorithm design, implementation, and testability, while providing constructive feedback. Execute Digital System Models (DSM) and simulations to evaluate system capabilities and performance. Support validation and verification of performance requirements using DSM and other modeling tools.
Work closely with the test team to analyze and validate field data through DSM and simulations. Serve as a liaison with external Subject Matter Experts to assess algorithm performance. Thrive in a dynamic team environment managing multiple priority tasks at the customer facility.
This role offers engagement with cutting-edge technology and collaboration with industry experts. Contribute to high-impact projects in aerospace engineering. Develop skills in machine learning concepts, methodologies, and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience, Master's degree with 10+ years of experience, or a Ph.D. with 7+ years of experience
- Proficiency in creating, executing, and utilizing DSMs or simulations for system performance modeling
- In-depth knowledge of machine learning (ML) methodologies and their implementation
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment while managing multiple priority tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python
- Ability to work regularly from the customer facility
