About this role

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner for the Airframe Wing Engineering centre at Airbus GBS. This role supports Plant Engineering Teams in Broughton, UK and Bremen, Germany through financial business partnering. Provide accurate and meaningful financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting across all Airbus Commercial Aircraft programmes.

Serve as focal point for consolidation of Wing Airframe controlling, using digital skills to run large data sets. Produce simple and meaningful data for the Head of Wing Airframe controlling. Ensure data for financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting is captured in a simplistic and automated manner.

Work closely with central Airframe controlling to ensure consolidated data is accurate, timely and consistent. Act as focal point for financial process in Wing Airframe subcontracting, collating data and ensuring compliance with Engineering Handbook. Collaborate with Wing Airframe subcontracting management team for robust actuals and forecasting.

Drive performance management and improvement by analysing quantitative and qualitative data against budgets and targets. Highlight discrepancies, risks and opportunities, then propose and coordinate mitigation actions. Support management discussions and decision making while contributing to earned value management and cash planning.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting engineering teams with financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting
  • Digital skills to run large data sets and produce meaningful financial data
  • Knowledge of Wing Airframe controlling and subcontracting processes
  • Ability to ensure compliance with Engineering Handbook in financial processes
  • Proficiency in financial processes and tools
  • Understanding of basic legal and HR processes
  • Basic project management and technical knowledge in operational areas
  • Familiarity with earned value management and cash planning

  • Manage financial process in Wing Airframe subcontracting, collating data and ensuring compliance with Engineering Handbook
  • Drive performance management and improvement
  • Analyse quantitative and qualitative data on performance against budgets/targets, highlighting discrepancies, risks and opportunities
  • Propose and coordinate mitigation actions to support management discussions and decision making
